How do I sign up for the BC Urban Wine Club subscription?

Visit BCUrbanWineClub.com, and click on "Get Started". From there, choose a subscription type by selecting the number of bottles you want to receive each month and, in the next window, the type of wine you prefer. You can add as many clubs as you want. Proceed to checkout, and you will be prompted to set-up an account. Enter in your billing, shipping and credit card information and confirm your account registration.

Do I need to sign up for a contract? Are there membership fees?

No contract. No membership fees. We believe in flexibility and convenience. Your monthly membership renews automatically each month (gift orders are paid for in full, in advance and will not renew). You can pause or cancel your subscription at any time with no obligations.

How are we different from other wine-of-the-month clubs?

There are a few key differences between BC Urban Wine Club and traditional “wine clubs”. First, our focus is British Columbia, and we offer only the finest BC wines. Each month we explore a different region or sub-GI in BC, or seasonal wine theme.

Second, BC Urban Wine Club has no initiation fees, no membership fees and no contracts to sign. You don’t need to sign up for a year and you can order as little as one 2 bottle monthly package ($59). You don’t need to buy a case of wine which you have never tasted!

Third, we ship monthly, meaning you do not need to re-order or check-in, and with minimal waiting for your package to arrive. Order within the first week in a given month, and your wine will be delivered by the first week of the following month.

Lastly, due to our experitse with BC wines, we can offer our members a selection of hard to find, award-winning, and exclusive wines. You are additionally getting an in-depth experience package, with a blog posting about the month's selections, tasting notes, and local delivery included in that price!

Also, there is the advantage of BC Urban Wine Club’s social network where you can compare notes, track your previous wine experiences and share this information with other members.

What happens if I get a corked or off bottle?

Occaisionally, a bottle is opened and found to be corked. So what happens when wine goes wrong!? We will fix it. If you do get a bad or off bottle as part of your package, let us know within 30 days of delivery and we will ensure that a credit is applied directly to your account.

Why can’t I pick the wine varietals delivered in my monthly club?

BC Urban Wine Club is all about creating experiences, by giving you the opportunity to try new regions, terrior, and varietals. We know that everyone has a certain preference for wine, so you do get to pick your colour. We take great pride in our research and selection process for our monthly club. We are confident that you will enjoy the wines selected.

I need more / less wine! How do I change my subscription?

You are in control! You now realize you need more wine; or, you need to scale it back a bit. You can either contact us and we'll adjust your subscription or you can cancel your current subscription and select the quantity that suits your need. You may also add multiple wine club selections so you can customize your wine colour and quantity.

Does BC Urban Wine Club offer a guarantee?

If your experience doesn't meet your expectations, we'll refund your order. If you are not completely satisfied with the quality of the wines you receive, you may request a refund within 60 days of the transaction date. Please return to us your unopened bottles for credit.
